Open fireplace replaced with new efficient inset stove and bespoke stone fireplace surround
This modern brick open fire is inefficient and will let the heat from the central heating escape up the chimney making the room cold whenever it isn't lit. It isn't very pretty either and needs to be brought up to date.
The chimney is lined and will need to be pressure smoke tested to prove that it doesn't leak dangerous fumes into the property or condensates into the walls. It also needs a good clean so the Fotheringhay Woodburners registered engineers will sweep it before carrying out the test.
The old brick fireplace has gone and has been replaced with the new bespoke Clipsham stone fireplace which was made by Fotheringhay Woodburners recommended stonemason. The stone is still quite wet from the water used in the stone saw and so will need some time to dry out thoroughly before we light a fire.
The new Woodwarm inset stove has now been installed by Fotheringhay Woodburners HETAS engineers and looks great against the colour of the stone. As you can see it is lit and being commissioned ready to hand over to our client.
